These are Tibetan knot bracelets: fine cord braided by hand into a dense, continuous knot, closed with a sliding knot so one size settles on any wrist. The pattern is the endless knot, one of the eight auspicious symbols in Buddhism, and it has no beginning and no end.

What does the endless knot mean?

The endless knot is one of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism, a single line folded back on itself with no start and no finish.

It is read as a picture of how things actually work: cause leading to effect leading to cause, wisdom and compassion bound together so tightly that neither can be pulled out on its own, and a continuity that does not break because it has no end to break at. It is sometimes called the eternal knot or the glorious knot. You will see it carved into temple doorways, printed on prayer flags, and tied into cord exactly like this, which is the oldest and smallest version of it.

Worn on the wrist, it is a symbol rather than a remedy. What it offers is a reminder, which is quite a lot.

Are these bracelets blessed?

The knot comes from a Tibetan tradition in which the cord is braided while mantras are recited, so the making and the practice are the same act.

That is the tradition the bracelet belongs to. We will not tell you a specific blessing was performed over the one in your parcel, because we would rather say less and have it be true. If you want a blessing done for your bracelet, add the Reiki and Mantra Infusion at checkout and it is carried out before dispatch.

Which colour should you choose?

There are three: bright red, deep red, and a gold weave shot through with green and amber thread.

Bright red is the traditional choice and the one most people start with, the colour of the protective cord across most of the Himalayan traditions. Deep red is the quieter version of the same idea and sits better against darker clothing. The gold weave is the one people are surprised by, because it reads as plain gold in the thumbnail and turns out to be a fine multicolour braid in the hand.

They stack. That is why the three colour set exists, and why a good number of the reviews mention buying one and coming back for the others.

Will it fit, and which wrist?

Yes. The sliding knot draws the cord in or lets it out, so one size fits most wrists and holds wherever you set it.

Pull both cord ends outward to open the bracelet, slip it over your hand, then pull the loop to snug it. There is no clasp to fail and nothing to size beforehand. Tibetan tradition puts a cord like this on the left wrist, the side thought to receive rather than give, and that is where most people wear it. The right is not wrong, and stacking two or three on the same wrist is the usual way they end up being worn.

How do you look after it?

Keep it dry and the braid keeps its shape.

Fine cord holds colour well and prefers not to be soaked, so take it off before swimming or a long shower. If the sliding knot loosens over months of daily wear, draw it closed again. That is the whole of the maintenance.

A knot with no end is a strange thing to wear on a wrist that will not last forever. Perhaps that is the point of it.

How do I choose the right size? What if my bracelet doesn't fit?

Most of our bracelets are adjustable or elastic and fit wrists from approximately 6" to 8". For fixed-size styles, measure your wrist and add ½" for comfort.

If the fit isn't right when it arrives, reach out to us and hello@buddhaandkarma.com we'll find a solution.

What is Reiki and Mantra Infusion and how does it work?

Reiki is a form of energy healing that channels intentional, positive energy into an object. Our mantra infusion adds sacred mantras — recited by our practitioners with your bracelet's specific purpose in mind (abundance, protection, love, healing).

Your bracelet arrives already activated and aligned with your intention.

Which hand or wrist should I wear my bracelet on?

Left wrist: draws energy in. Best for attraction: wealth, luck, love, healing.

Right wrist: projects energy outward. Best for protection or sending intention into the world.

When in doubt, trust your intuition. There's no wrong answer!

How do I care for my bracelet?

Remove before swimming, bathing, applying lotions and perfumes, or exercising as water, chemicals, and sweat can weaken the elastic and dull the stones.

To clean, wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. To recharge crystals energetically, leave them in moonlight overnight or place near selenite.

Store in a soft pouch away from direct sunlight when not wearing.

Are your crystals, gemstones, and precious metals genuine?

Yes. All of our crystals, gemstones, and precious metals are genuine. No synthetics, no dyed substitutes.

Natural stones vary slightly in color and patterning from piece to piece. That's not a flaw, it's what makes yours one of a kind.
